Chocolate Chip and Pecan Nut Cookies

My kids favourite

Makes:approximately 40 cookies
Preheat Oven:190°C
Preparation
  • 1 cup (200g) of butter
  • 1 cup of white sugar
  • 1 cup of raw/brown sugar
  • In a large bowl, cream together butter and both sugars.
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. of vanilla
  • Add eggs and vanilla. Mix until well blended.
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 2 1/2 cups of ground oatmeal (son d'avoine)
  • 1 tsp. of baking powder
  • 1 tsp. of baking soda
  • Add flour, oatmeal, baking powder and baking soda.
  • Mix well.
  • 100g milk chocolate, grated
  • 1 1/2 pkg of chocolate chips
  • 1 pkg (150g) of pecans, chopped
  • Add grated chocolate, chocolate chips and pecans.
  • Mix well.
  • Take about a tablespoon of cookie dough and roll into a ball and press it down gently into the shape of a circle on an ungreased cookie sheet
  • Space about 1” (2 ½ cm) apart
  • Bake for approx. 16 minutes
  • Cool on rack for 10 minutes
