Brownies

Makes approximately 20
Size of pan:28cm x 21cm
Preheat oven:190°C
Preparation
  • 100g dark chocolate (55% cocoa)
  • 100g butter, unsalted
  • In a "bains-marie", melt chocolate and butter over med heat
  • set aside
  • 1 3/4 cups of sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tsp. of vanilla extract
  • In a large bowl, mix sugar, eggs and vanilla until well blended
  • Add melted chocolate mixture to eggs and stir until blended
  • 1 cup of flour
  • Add flour to mixture and stir until smooth
  • 300g walnuts, chopped
  • Add chopped walnuts to bowl and mix well
  • Grease and flour pan
  • Pour mixture evenly into pan
  • Bake for 37 minutes
  • Let cool for at least 15 minutes before cutting
